The Client
Scripps Health is a not-for-profit, community-based health care delivery network in San Diego, California, that includes four acute-care hospitals on five campuses, more than 2,300 affiliated physicians and 11,000 employees.
The Challenge
Employing over 120 technical specialists in six IT groups, Scripps’ IT organization received funding for 168 short- and long-term IT initiatives in 2006. To successfully complete these projects while providing optimal technical support to its internal customers, Scripps needed to quickly and continuously supplement its core IT team with high-caliber contract professionals. Scripps’ existing IT staffing providers were not responding to its technical staffing needs fast enough and, when they did respond, they were providing costly, mismatched talent.
The Solution
Based on a recommendation from one of Scripps vice presidents, KoreOne was given a few open requirements. Working closely with Scripps’ IT management, KoreOne helped them establish strict hiring criteria and negotiated a very cost-effective rate structure.
KoreOne initially received—and quickly filled—three contract requirements from the Computing Platforms group for UNIX® and Windows® system administrators. Within weeks, two of the contractors were hired full time by Scripps. The third remained on board long-term. Because it demonstrated the ability to rapidly deliver high-quality talent, KoreOne was given additional opportunities throughout Scripps’ IT organization.
The Result
KoreOne’s ability to source quality IT professionals and provide responsive service at very favorable rates has resulted in a strong relationship with Scripps Health. Now servicing multiple groups within IT, KoreOne provides a full range of qualified technical professionals including systems administrators, data analysts, PC technicians and help desk personnel. “KoreOne has delivered both great candidates and great service to me over the past year.
